April is Occupational Therapy Month.
This year the department chose to celebrate by giving back to the community. With help from their colleagues in PT and Speech Therapy, the OT department collected hundreds of toiletry items that were donated to Rosie’s Place, a shelter for homeless women that offers emergency and long-term assistance. The department also worked one night packing and loading food at the Greater Boston Food Bank, which provides food to hundreds of local hunger relief agencies.
